What follows is a process of quiet collaboration between your vision and our craft, until something exists that could only ever have been made for you.
George works with a small number of clients at a time. That is deliberate. It is what makes the work possible.
The Atelier Process
A bespoke commission typically unfolds 6 four stages.
Tell us about the occasion, the feeling, and yourself. Our bespoke questionnaire opens the conversation, there are no wrong answers, only details that help us understand you better.
We meet in the atelier to explore ideas, reference images, and fabrics. Nothing is rushed. This is the moment where a feeling starts to become a silhouette.
We begin the creative search. Sketches take shape, fabrics are sourced, and textures, colours, and details are gathered from near and far. Every option is considered carefully, because the right materials are what give a vision its character.
We bring it all together and show you the direction. Concepts, the first toile, and an early sense of fit. You see your garment beginning to live, and we refine it together before a single final stitch is made.
Your piece is hand-crafted in our Cape Town studio. We create, fit, test, and refine, returning to the details again and again until everything sits exactly as it should. You are kept close to every decision, because this is your garment, not ours.
We dress you personally. Because couture does not end at the fitting room. On the day that matters most, we are there, and we would not have it any other way.
